QMDJ Divination basic questions

That may be different for different systems/practitioners/schools out there. Will post for what I'm using.

1. There are day, month and year charts as well. And usually there is different ways of plotting them to. They don't use day Ju, though, and are generally easier to make(as calculating the Ju is the challenging part more often)..
For moving I would use the hour. People usually use the hour when the question came up. While the question may take years or months to fully develop in my experience the hour does good enough job covering it.
2. Use Kun.
3. For divination I personally use it only for double checking WWG. So its rare I will have 2 questions in the same hour. But in the case that happens, the second one will read with WWG.

1. You can use the birth year stems to find yourself and a co worker on the map. But with or without that its more then possible both of you are in similar situation(meaning equal chances of promotion, then looking at the relations on the map can figure out where to go from there).

2.Have to figure out what you are aiming at. If you are aiming at divination that will just lead to lower accuracy.

As Geng hour basically suggest that most questions that will naturally arise will be about topics and events that are somewhat lost. QMDJ will reflect that nicely. So for divination if you avoid reading questions that arise then, you won't know that, but it will still be there.

If you want until the next map shows up - again the same problem. Will only lead to lower accuracy, as in that hour the stuff that will come up will often be doomed(Yang Metal - rising of yin, combination of rush + decline and soon will be fully contracted in water finding new life, as that one is gone now).

Now, if you want to create a situation, that won't work also. Creating suggest you are very aware what will happen, so you are able to replace it with something else. And avoiding specific hour in reading can't help with that as well. That with these systems would be more in a line of seeing what would happen if you started something at that hour and deciding you want another outcome and choose another hour for that.

Short answer - just use the map when the question arise and it should work fine in my humble opinion. Anything else for most part won't change the events but will lead to less accuracy(so not knowing them).

I do like that we have some basic QMDJ topics, though, that can be useful as on the west info about it is still rare(somewhat).

In my experience, while the Hour Stem is somewhat the "host" of the events", for the actual reading in the way I'm familiar with the system we use Images. There is some general outlook we can see from the Hour Stem to Day Stem and from where it is, but for the actual reading we need much more then that.

For example if you ask for illness, you use Rui天芮 to find the illness on the map. Then you can use Yi 乙 stem for alternative medicine, and you can use Xin 天心 to show western medicine... Can use the year birth stem of the person to find their body in all this... And you look where they are how they relate, what else is there etc.

In my personal experience, if you only look at the Hour Stem and its relation to the Day Stem in most situations that won't provide enough info for a full reading. It is valid, though, but there is a lot more. And of course its connected to Images as it usually is when we get to details in these systems. Most of them, anyway.

I've been a Ba Zi enthusiast for years, and currently just starting to learn QMDJ. I have basic QMDJ questions regarding divination:

1. Do you always use QMDJ Hour chart when doing divination? Even if the divination is meant to be for the day/month/year?
For example, if the question is: should I move house this month? Do I use QMDJ Hour chart or Month chart?

2. What if the Day Stem or the Hour Stem is in the middle? How do you read it?

3. What if you have more than 1 question on that given time?
For example: Question 1: Should I move home this month?
Question 2: Should I change occupation this month?
Because the chart is the same, then the divination result will also be the same?

They're very basic questions, because I'm very new with QMDJ. Appreciate if some seniors can help me with these basic questions.

1. Hour chart is not used for divination, it is used for forecasting outcome of a strategy.
2. If I am not mistaken, if the stem is in the middle, it would "reach" out to Kun palace, For Joey Yaps tool, Day/Hour are marked in the plotted chart.
3. You can have multiple questions, but should not start that way, start easy, take one question at the time. If you have multiple questions, they probably have different focus points, that is what you would be looking at then.

Another basic question. If you are located in daylight savings timezone or adjusted timezone, do you adjust the QMDJ hour chart?

Use the local time at where you are, without any adjustment
