I started with Qi Men but abandoned it due to more accurate results with Six Lines.

I'm not commercial practitioner so I don't get so many business in the 2 hour time frame. So far, using QMDJ I have handle 3 Querent before. In the instance everything is the same, you can ask the Querent to pick a number or think of an object then u use it as a sign or Gua or palace ya. There is also an instance, I rely on Yin QMDJ to replot the chart. When you felt that it going no where, you can choose from ZhiRun to ChaiBu or non ZhiRun and Yin QMDJ. Hope it help u understand a bit more.

In the way I work with that I use the Hour chart.
And how to find them... Well, you can use all the stems in theory, so Year Stem would be ancestors, Month Stem would be siblings/people near etc.

There are alternative ways. In examples from Chinese masters I have seen, that one is usually used more often and that is using that persons year of birth stem and see where that falls on the maps.
Hour stem still hosts the events, I don't personally work with the idea that Day Stem represents the person asking that much, so asking for someone else doesn't change a lot.

That being said, I very much agree with Art here.
I would recommend Liu Yao/WWG as well here, while I love both systems there are many reasons why in this case it would probably do much better job for what you seem to want it doing.
