Side track. How do we really know if Qi (氣) is presence? Or really there ?
By looking at the effects it has.

This is basically how we new to look for something when it came to radio waves and ultraviolet, we saw something happening that could not be explained by what we can see so we (meaning scientists) discovered materials that allowed us to measure the intensity of the "invisible" rays. We knew we were measuring the correct thing because only when it was present did the (previously) unexplained effects only occurred when the invisible rays were present (according to the detector). These experiments were repeated by others with other instruments and after years of different people testing it, it became accepted. Once enough is known, theory comes in and as more experiments are done (which can prove or disprove) a certain theory; then the theory that can correctly predict what will happen in a new experiment will become the accepted theory.
Will drowsing crystals help in confirming the Qi ?
I doubt it. At least some dowsing methods have been tested experimentally and they were not found to be able to predict where water is under controlled conditions. Wikipedia has a good list of citations and even one of the most prestigious journals (Nature) has an article about one of these tests.

I can think of some experiments that could test for the presence of chi, but it would take some real money (like a few hundreds of thousand's of US dollars) to do and I don't see that happening.

Speaking as a PhD in physics, whether an electron behaves as a wave or a particle depends on the size of the object it is interacting with. The same is true of a photon. We (physicists) can typically predict which way it will interact if we know what is doing the measuring. There is a somewhat gray area that is somewhere between very small things (quantum) and very large things (macro - anything beyond the size of an atom), but this is not nearly as mysterious as before. Indeed there is a sub-branch of physics that studies this and understands this.

In the double slit experiment the perceived difference is the observer?
Do you mean interacting with, as "being observed"?

The double silts are NOT the observer. In the case with the double slit with photons, a film strip can be the detector (which is the observer).
Interacting is interacting, like two molecules interacting, or two billiard balls colliding. Although the last two examples are not at the quantum level, quantum entities can interact with things again and again and it is only once observed (detected) does the quantum particle take on a given state. Yes, it is weird.

I did. But I'm currently, more interested in metaphysics, as otherwise we can figure out for example, that the electron behaves like wave or particle depending on the observer, but we can never figure out why.

In that sense Quantum Physics is currently not as applicable to everyday life as it could be if we combine it with metaphysical studies.
And the "why" is the part that relates it to the world around us, that part is clearly explained in spiritual and metaphysics system thousands of years before the double slit experiment was done.
Without understanding of quantum physics there would be no semi-conductors nor present day computers (and without quantum physics and computers you and I would not likely be communicating). So I personally feel that quantum physics is part of my everyday life. Most of Chinese metaphysics has to do with things at the macro level (mountains or hills and water that is visible), I do not see quantum physics as applicable. Anyone who has lived near mountains knows they change the wind (and changing wind creates chi) and the people in Buffalo NY know that bodies of water can change their local climate as Buffalo is famous for lake effect snow. All these things occur on the macro (non-quantum) level.

That being said, we do not have any instruments that can measure chi. In fact, I have not seen a really good explanation of what chi actually is (it is energy of some sort, but most forms of energy can be measured); but just because we can't measure it does not mean it does not exist. So I am open to existence of chi (and therefore the existence of Feng Shui). It could be possible that chi somehow interacts with us on a quantum level, even though chi is created by things at the macro scale, but the exact mechanism is not clear because we don't even understand what chi is.

You are correct, but just like natal flying star chart of the entire apartment building, it really is not appropriate to apply them to an apartment.

If you want to see the static Purple-White charts they are available on pages 6 and 7 of Xuan Kong Purple White Script by Hung Hin Cheong. These charts are based SOLELY on the house's SITTING direction. There is no period changes to the chart and there is no consideration of gua number. They look very different than the Flying Star charts, or the Purple-White replacement charts. They have only one number in each sector and the relationships are based on the elements of each numbers in relation to the center number (which is found by the Lou Shu number in the sitting location). There are more good sectors in the 8 mansions and just about any other system than there are in the static P-W system. The "good" sectors (determined by the elements) need to have timely stars, but you need to use the Purple-White system of Periods (not the usual Flying Star periods) - you can see the period information on page 13 of the above mentioned book with more info in Appendix 1 of that book. In general, about half the time that there are no "good" sectors in the static P-W house, which is a real drawback unless you like to move often. From my personal experience, the facing direction of the house or the door must be in sync with the person's gua number to have a good house for that person. The static P-W system has no such considerations (but you can add them in). Mostly I don't like the fact there are long periods of time with no good sectors, so I do not use it (because it does not sync with my experience - good houses have longer periods of good than the static P-W system indicates). Of course, the static P-W system recommendations is in conflict with just about every other system. However, there is nothing wrong with using the static P-W system. I haven't seen it used much, but that does not mean it is not good or useful.

XK methods are not meant to be applied mechanically or rigidly, there is nothing in HHC's book which states you can't use the period chart in tandem with the house static chart & on the contrary the book did stated that it can be used as another point of reference for more depth in our reading right? When you do so then why are you not taking 1 more step further by incorporating all 3 yearly, period & static charts overlayed on top of 1 another? If you have been doing it for XKFS why not PWS? Which begs the question, how many truly understands Flying Star, what is it measuring and what is its actual usage?

For a book selling at an affordable price of $50-60, it has exposed to the world the much cryptic classical text of Purple White Script, especially the upper scroll but then it also falls short on telling use how to apply all of it in a spoon feeding manner, can't be letting the cat out of the bag for such a measly sum right  :D
I feel that the book does a good job of telling you how to use both the static P-W charts and the replacement P-W charts. When it comes to the static P-W charts, it is brief, but quite clear. It is actually the overlaying of the periods on the static P-W charts that makes me reject the static P-W charts as valid (this part is clear in the book that you MUST consider the Period's effects on static P-W chart to read it correctly). For example; a south facing house has no good sectors for 60 years once Period 8 started. We live in such a house and since Period 8 started we have been doing much better than before Period 8 started, so I don't buy it. Our house is a good one in the Flying Star system, so I let my experience guide me in what parts of F.S. are valid.

Purple White has static charts, it's as good as the complicated replacement annual charts or probably better to due to its eases of use. Therefore to say purple white has no static charts is inaccurate.

Feng Shui / Re: Bed Feng Shui
« on: September 08, 2021, 01:53:31 PM »
Hi Masters,

Please help me decide which bed position/direction is best.  Back of the head should be facing which direction.  Some said ABC (N,W,E) are the best.  But some said D (S) is the best.  I'm confused....

Need your expertise and best advice pleaseeee....

Thank you.
Need to know the Kau number of the person sleeping there to give an answer. If there are more that one person sleeping in the bed, the person who earns the most is likely to take precedence if there is a conflict between directions.

Doesn't Purple White have static or natal chart to do longer or mid-term Feng Shui ?

In another words, Practitioners and Masters doing Purple White Feng Shui is likely to have annual recurring income from Client (seem so.. )
[/quote]

Purple-White charts are annual charts, there is no static chart. In a landed property (single family residence) the P-W chart can be used to understand influences of any given year and sometime create very good charts (Pearl or Parent String charts for example) either by themselves or when mixed with the house's natal (Flying Star) chart (the annual stars can also mix with the natal chart to create good charts). The years that these good charts are formed are very good years to start on big projects and are therefore worth knowing.

For apartments or condos, all that you really have is the Purple White charts (the annual stars are already a part of the P-W system so you do not also look at the annual star - unlike what one would do in a landed property).

To respond to your second comment: The Flying Star charts are also influenced by the annual stars including the Purple-White charts, so whether a person practices Purple-White or Flying Stars they both can have recurring income.

@RapaNui
1) what is your Gua (or the date of birth) ? 1972 ,9 , 22
2) what is the facing of your house in degree (or the picture from internet) ? southeast 146 degree,
the picture is real my house front yard. the layout is correct.

3) what is the year of "birth" of your house ( 2017 is the year of moving ) ? new build during through 2016 and 2017.

 thanks guys for helping me

It appears that you may be feeling the effects of Period 9 (which started its shift in 2017). In full Period 9 (Feb 2024), your health will be further affected by your Sitting (health and relationship) Star being locked in the center. The way I have been taught to remedy this is to place a quiet water feature in the south sector outside your house (where 5 is the Sitting Star). It looks like you do not have too much room there, but a quiet, gently moving fountain could work and may not take up too much room, this could even be placed on your porch (the left corner - as looking from the front). An in-ground koi pond is considerably better, but the room appears to be quite tight. It is important that this fountain or pond is quiet and has gently moving water.

According to your Kau number, the best location for your bed (within the limitations of the room) is on the wall where your door to the walk in closet is located. You could have this door closed off (removed and have a wall replacing it) and open a door near the main door to the bedroom to access your closet (it would be better to have the closet door inswing to the closet to avoid the two doors hitting each other). Right now your bed is facing the worst direction for you, and moving it to under the window wall is not really any better). The ideal direction would be to have the bed have the head in the East direction (standing at the foot of the bed looking at the head of the bed you would be facing east). But to do that you would need to turn the bed 45 degrees to the room. That might be worth trying, but having a solid wall behind the head of your bed is also important and I would only do this only if the first move does not work.

Whether you use the garage door or the front door as your main door is up to you, they both open into the same sector.

I am sure your doctor has told you this, but exercise is important given your conditions. Hopefully, these moves will give you more energy to do more exercise.
