Both characters, I do have them in my homebrew applications.  However we cannot show them properly in the forum because those characters are defined in the Segoe UI Symbols font which is not included in the SMF setup.  Hence if I paste them here, you will only see a square box.

Hi,

Usually for date selection, application is directly related to one's bias and affinity with a single or multifaceted systems.  For example, ideally, one could use San He to polish off the bad dates, apply other date selection to reduce the list to more manageable one using  e.g. San Yuan or Qi Men Dun Jia date selection.

For example, lets assume you use 黃道吉日 as the first filter, then you get 19 Aug 2014, then we know the day breakers are Chen and Shen hours, we cross them out.  Next we can use Hour School Qi Men to pick a better hours among the days, assuming the house door face north west, You hour will be a good hour given the constraints that the date/door is fixed and a good hour is needed.

This is why date selection is a hard job, you need to know many systems to avoid landmines and must expend a lot of energies to pick the best compromises.  Unlike destiny charts, you cannot say, 'either make or break', else the user will tell you to go home

In this case, I also did no go through the Bazi of the user for the intended application, that by itself will be a massive job, matching date to the Bazi for the luck phase.  So you can do some counting, from destiny studies, date selection knowledge, a bit of Feng Shui, you need a deep knowledge base to pick a good date for very sensitive applications.

In practice, unless the activity is very very sensitive e.g. grave exhumation etc, the seasoned guys will use their most trusted or experienced system, else if too many parameters are considered, there will be no dates.
