In Mangpai Bazi, we don't really embrace the concept of favorable elements like others do.  We have to look at the element in detail.  For example, if talking about Metal, is it Geng, Xin, You or Shen or a hidden Metal.  Is it in the Stem or Branch, what other element does it come with.

2011 Xin Mao was bad, because Xin Metal sits on an unstable pillar and is overcome by very strong Jie Cai or Rob Wealth.  2011 jumping out at you as a very bad year is a clear sign that You Rooster is the correct hour.  Hour Pillar is very important in Bazi reading, it's after all called "eight characters".

Sorry to intrude. But just want to ask Hanzzo some questions.

Based on bazi, as mentioned by several bazi readers, he is Ding You hour. But for zwds, it is Xu hour. Do you think its possible bazi and zwds hours might be different. Like zwds use the time based on birth certificate and bazi on real solar time. Just wondering cos I look at my chart, it look like the case.

unfortunetly i just initiated bazi 2 weeks ago, im still very new to it.

im more learned in western vedic and zwds.

But i think  others readers might get it right on bazi using ding hour because the other 3 pillars are right.
and in zwds if the hour is wrong a very diferent chart will result, so in my opinion its better to use zwds to check the hour.

But unfortunetly, lately im searching for bazi readers who give dates and predict things with accuracy by the year and month, so i can know that bazi really works
i dont wanna quit on bazi, but i wish i could see it work from time to time, and more predictions and less character readings.

i dont do character readings because:
Ive initiate on western astrology, where everything is subjective character and psycologic reading -  no wonder why astrology its still a non prove science.

But to answer your question directly, i still dont know if in bazi the hour change every event as it does in Zwds. but i will tell you in a couple of months

Yes I agree. That's why I analyze my own chart and my relatives chart first to check if it correlate with their bazi and zwds chart.
Meanwhile, I get feedback from forum querent  here and ask for their feedback to check if what I learned is right. Only by asking and analyzing others charts, slowly I acquire more knowledge and improve my reading. I like what Emile Coue say," Day by day in every way, I'm getting better and better. "

So its important to highlight I'm a beginner. To the experts, if you notice I'm wrong in interpretation, please correct me, so I can learn. Thanks!

But subsequently, I might attend a course to enhance my knowledge and for the joy of learning Chinese metaphysics.

most of the times yes.

but you have to be very skillfull in both to diferentiate
i use zwds to see "change"

and western to see in "what"

and vedic to see the "natal promise"

i still need a lot of investigation to combine both, but im pretty happy the results so far.
someday i will prove to the scientific community once and for all that astrology works. ( its my aim, sorry if i sound presumptions)

A lot of investigation is still needed tough, ive check very complicated maps, like the case of Bingdm.. if you check i gave him a lot of dates .. its easy to see the change, but the question is "what",

My personal opinion no astrology is complete, a lot of research is needed, and now we are living in the perfect time to help each other complete them once and for all.

One day i will go Prometheus and share everything ive learned so far, i just wish i had more people who could share their thoughts and ideas more often with me. feel like a loner sometimes in metaphisics

Most real life Sifus read that way. If the past are read all wrong, they would refund your money and stop reading. Ethics. Can read, read. Cannot read, just skip the case. Not all charts can be read. Not all money must be earned. And they won't play God. Ethics.

Incidentally, I also got to know there is one very good bazi book in Chinese, where the author (famous but now deceased)  cum Sifu teaches the art of reading a bazi chart i.e. which angle we should start reading from, What to tell, what not. But I can't catch the name of the author. The presenter spoke too fast! If you guys can find such book, do post in forum. Thanks!

I read from newspaper. Leslie Cheung's (famous HK singer and actor) sister shared that she asked a Bazi master to read Leslie's bazi chart. His sister said she predicted everything correctly, but he stopped at 46 years old. He did not explain why but he just stopped predicting his life at 46 years old and said he stop for now. Even if he knew Leslie Cheung would not survive past 46, he did not say but just stopped predicting.

But since you adopt time adjustment in bazi....Not sure how you should read your Zwds chart now (since Zwds is based on lunisolar and no need time adjustment ).....

Yeah, death prediction is taboo topic. Can't be sure will surely die on that dot also, just possible dangerous periods. Not all sharing same bazi as Leslie Cheung committed suicide on that day!

Actually I used my actual time and did not convert to solar time for my zwds and it fits my characteristic and life events. If I convert to solar time, it doesn't fit my personality and life event at all. That's why I think maybe the timing used is different for bazi and zwds.

Ya death is taboo. Maybe the bazi master did not want to make assumption and thus stopped predicting at 46 years old.

i think most definite answers is to look at events happening prior to the actual readings to get the most probable answers for them.

We should set aside arguing on technical terms whereas each school teaches different perspective or any other school is superior.Im really grateful to learn and absorb so much on this forum.

The first point like i said earlier is to settle the chart first correctly with events before procedding.

I just like to know base on my chart how come this year is such a horrible and terrible year for me in my life , business , career and wealth? Everything seem to went badly. I thought that I already running on my 10 years Ta Yun Luck ? If following earlier analysis then Metal Roaster Year should be a good year to me ? Is extremely challenging and full with adversities and difficulties. Is there anything wrong with my chart ?
