I think this statement only works best for Warren Buffet. I also don't think he has any investment in crypto currency. :P.

    Been working for me  :P

Bitcoin Is In Freefall, Dragging Ethereum And Ripple With It -- Here's Why
    Billy Bambrough, Contributor - Sep 5, 2018, 07:55am
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2018/09/05/bitcoin-is-in-freefall-dragging-ether-and-ripple-with-it-heres-why/

The bitcoin price went into freefall this morning, despite good news for bitcoin adoption from the growing Lightning Network, as investors get cold feet ahead of the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission's (SEC) decision expected later this month on whether to grant approval for a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) — something the SEC has previously rejected due to fears around bitcoin's wild price swings and price manipulation.

Bitcoin fell by some $500, or 5%, in just a matter of minutes, according to CoinDesk data, and taking the bitcoin price under the psychological $7,000 mark.

The sharp fall in bitcoin price comes after unconfirmed reports from Business Insider that U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs is ditching plans to open a desk for trading cryptocurrencies due to the murky regulatory landscape.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bitcoin drops sharply and suddenly — and now cryptos across the board are getting slammed
Will Martin, Business Insider US - September 5, 2018
    https://www.businessinsider.sg/bitcoin-price-cryptocurrencies-drop-no-explanation-2018-9/?r=US&IR=T

Cryptocurrency prices plunged across the board suddenly and sharply Wednesday morning, seemingly with no clear reason.

Having been steady at about $7,350 a coin during most of trading during both Asian and European morning hours, bitcoin lost more than $200 in mere minutes starting about 5:50 a.m. ET, or 10:50 a.m. BST. It took another leg down an hour later, falling below the psychologically significant $7,000 mark, before breaking back above that mark as the day continued.

By 1:06 p.m. ET, the largest crypto by market value was trading at $6,894 a coin, a fall of 6.3% on the day.

Bitcoin was the most obvious casualty of the sudden sharp fall, but other major cryptocurrencies including ether, Ripple’s XRP, and bitcoin cash fell even more steeply. Here’s the scoreboard:

        Ether -15.4% at $241.30
        Ripple’s XRP -13.5% at $0.2857
        Bitcoin cash -15.8% at $527.23
        Litecoin-11.7% at $59.8

Though the drop’s cause is unclear, a theory put forward by Tanya Abrosimova of FXStreet is that the introduction of a registration process for the popular instant bitcoin exchange ShapeShift may have spooked some users and triggered at least part of the drop.

After the initial sell-off, cryptocurrencies continued to fall after Business Insider reported that Goldman Sachs has shelved near-term plans for the launch of a bitcoin trading desk.

Wednesday’s selling comes after several days of strong gains for cryptocurrencies, despite the recent rejection by the US Securities and Exchange Commission of several bitcoin-based exchange-traded funds.

Bitcoin sheds almost $1,000 in 24 hours
Will Martin, Business Insider US - September 6, 2018

The sharp sell-off that gripped cryptocurrency markets on Wednesday has extended into a second day, with major digital assets across the spectrum continuing to fall during trading on Thursday.

Wednesday’s initial move seemed to have no real catalyst, beyond a theory put forward by Tanya Abrosimova of FXStreet is that the introduction of a registration process for the popular instant bitcoin exchange ShapeShift may have spooked some users and triggered at least part of the drop.

The slump was then exacerbated by a Business Insider report that Goldman Sachs has put plans to launch a bitcoin trading desk on hold for the foreseeable future.
By people sharing knowledge/info publicly, the info itself does not devalue to become "common internet data which lacks credibility and needs verifying". If everyone thinks in this way, nobody would want to share anymore in order to protect the value and integrity of their knowledge.

Bitcoin, and Cryptocurrency in General, Had a Terrible November
    Tom McKay, Yesterday 2:00pm

    https://gizmodo.com/bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency-in-general-had-a-terrible-1830795708

Bitcoin, as well as smaller cryptocurrencies like XRP and ether, had a terrible November that saw $70 billion in value wiped off the market, CNBC reported on Friday.

Bitcoin closed at $3,878, well below $6,000, which proponents had long insisted was its “floor” but in retrospect appears to have been a magic number. That’s 80 percent lower than its December 2017 high of $19,783. As of early Saturday afternoon, it stands at around $4,230, though Genesis Global Trading CEO Michael Moro told the site it was “unclear if this is a ‘bottom’ or a brief period of consolidation before next move down... Buyers are still maintaining some cash on the sidelines in case it does go lower.”

According to CNBC, it’s been painful November for other major players in crypto as well.

This kind of up and down is more like gamble. Those sold at peak price were lucky indeed.

These Made-In-Taiwan PCs Will Let Gamers Mine For Cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrency mining is normally performed by high-end computers souped up with expensive, powerful processors. Now, Asustek Computer, a Taiwanese hardware firm with a record for experimental devices, is installing software on its gaming PCs that will allow users to mine cryptocurrencies while they're not in mid-match. Gamers will be able to deploy idle graphics processing units, or GPUs, to authenticate blockchain transactions and earn digital currencies, according to tech media reports. Asustek will source it mining software from blockchain technology provider Quantumcloud.

    ...
"Crypto-mining by idle consumer PCs is rare today," says Neil Mawston, executive director for wireless devices with market research firm Strategy Analytics in the U.K. "It is practiced by home-build PC fans and tech geeks, but it is not yet a mainstream feature."

    ..
tech experts say the use of idle GPUs will let everyday users of powerful PCs become crypto miners. PCs for hardcore gamers already have strong GPUs, so their owners wouldn't need to install specialized components for the job. Asus did not provide any estimates of their expected volumes, scheduling or pricing.

The idle GPUs would explore the blockchain, which is the official public ledger for cryptocurrency transactions, to authenticate trades. That process creates new records on the blockchain and gives miners a small amount of the cryptocurrency as a reward.
