Is anyone familiar with the Chue lineage six line method?  Is this a variant of WWG?

Thanks - didn't know where to place this question.  Please move if need be.

No, but six line divination is another name for WWG.

Thank you.  This is what I found:

    6 Kinship Hexagrams I-Ching
The standard I Ching from the I Ching books is based on the Form of a hexagram (Kwa). The number of Yang and Yin lines gives each hexagram a different image.

The 6 Kinship Hexagram I Ching can predict anything and is not like anything written in books.

It involves tossing three coins, six times, to create the six-line pattern or hexagram, where some lines can ‘move’. This creates an original kwa and a future kwa (if there are changing lines). Each line is then opened, which adds multiple layers of information like the stems and branches, kinships, present and future lines and so on.

Any question that you have can be answered. The results are always extremely accurate. Questions can relate to sickness and health, lawsuits and disputes, jobs, choosing a property, pregnancy and childbirth, future fates, marriage and divorce, lost items, travelling, finances and gambling and even finding missing persons.

Seems like WWG. In the forum the section for it is called Liu Yao(Six Lines) here:

    http://fivearts.info/fivearts/index.php?board=81.0

Also we use it sometimes in the free divination part. : )

    ............

English I Ching books, you mean.

There're tons of chinese books on Six Lines.
By people sharing knowledge/info publicly, the info itself does not devalue to become "common internet data which lacks credibility and needs verifying". If everyone thinks in this way, nobody would want to share anymore in order to protect the value and integrity of their knowledge.

Hi, thanks.  I only posted what I found on someone’s site.  Not my claim but that makes sense now that you said it.

Great, thanks.  I’m working through Jack Chui’s book now.  I also have a kindle book by Sanmao Shepard.  So, I guess I’ll stick with those.  The method I started the thread with requires date of birth, too.   Much to learn.

Here's 2 english Six Lines books I recommend for people who are totally new to Six Lines divination (aka Wen Wang Gua):

    ............

The main difference between Six Lines vs WWG is... WWG uses stems & branches. Six Lines only uses branches.

--> "Occasional additional view of Stems on the Lines."

It took me some time to get the hang of it. It's slightly different from Bazi interpretation but a Bazi foundation is required.

edit: You also need the categories and advance techniques. Fundamentals taught in the 2 english books I recommended is not enough.
