Im more acquianted with western astrology than bazi. My advise is to take such cookbook interpretation with a grain of salt.
Modern "astrologers" try to psychologize everything instead of determining the actual outcome which the ancients could do. 
By psychologicalizing things, anything can be twisted and made up as if.

During the middle ages, alot of ancient text had been destroyed and the ancient methods are obscured hidden by the powers that be. Similarly in China or Egypt, periodically there's always been intentional burning of library and destruction of materials.

Bazi is easier in this manner since it is purely Chinese thing but western astrology is mixed with sumerian, egyptian, indian sources and further mixed with greek and hellenism and consequently, what most modern astrologers do nowadays are seriously "good for nothing".

Otherwise, there would already be alot of people like Evangeline Adams but apparently, there aren't.
