After reading through the text, seems like Tai Yi Shen Shu is an integrated method of Qi Men Dun Jia and Da Liu Ren. It even uses the 8 Doors from Qi Men.

Anyone skilled in this want to translate or teach briefly how to apply the formulas?

I lost my message count so can't see what you wrote (is it the one, which was posted on the old forum?).  Anyway, Tai Yi Shen Shu is rather a "modern" book (Chinese style).  I don't see any connection between Liuren and Taiyi, except that both use shipan, which sets the timing.  Even in this they differ, because the only extant Taiyi shipan divides year into 8 sections according to the beginning and middle of seasons.  Taiyi is based on Luoshu.  Liuren boards have stems, branches, and 28 xiu.

QMDJ uses 9 ( 8 ) palaces, Liuren uses 12, Taiyi uses 16.

Liuren and QMDJ use famliar spirits like White Tiger, Black Warrior, Gouchen etc.  Taiyi does not.  Instead it features two main armies and one additional army.

Liuren and QMDJ are based on Bazi, Taiyi is not.

Taiyi uses counts/numbers for final interpretation, which Liuren and QMDJ do not.

The only thing uniting Taiyi and QMDJ is Luoshu.  However, QMDJ uses the Luoshu arrangement we all are familiar with.  Taiyi places 1 in NW and runs from there.  Both Luoshu arrangements have been in use in the ancient times.

Considering that existing documents mention Leigong as the third original board, and QMDJ replaced it only later, I think that using QMDJ doors in Taiyi is a later addition as is also the use of the hexagrams.
